Tom Rosenbaugh

I connect systems, automate the busy work, and help teams actually use AI.

About

I am a technical solutions specialist in Denver with five years of experience building and supporting web-based systems for support teams and enterprise customers.

I started in Tier-3 support at Kustomer, which was then part of Meta. I then became a Technical Account Manager for six enterprise clients. Today I build AI agents, integrations, and automation at Turo.

Colleagues come to me when they want to use Claude well. In my free time I build electronics, 3D print, and work with wood.

  • I build things end to end, from the data source to the screen.
  • I find the repetitive step and automate it, then make sure people actually use it.
  • I explain technical work in plain words to customers, executives, and non-technical teams.

Work projects at Turo

Production AI Support Agent

2,500 support agents get answers grounded in current knowledge and live customer data.

I configure and maintain Turo's AI support agent, Kustomer CoPilot. It reads the knowledge base through the Guru MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way to plug AI into business tools. It also connects by API to live reservation, claims, and roadside assistance data.

Routing Self-Service in Claude

Program managers answer their own routing questions and request changes without manual edits.

Turo routes more than 15,000 tickets a day across 200+ teams. Program managers used to ask me where tickets went, then wait for manual workflow edits. Now they look up routing and submit change requests in Claude. After I approve a request, Claude applies the change through the Kustomer API.

Automated CSAT Pipeline

2,000+ customer satisfaction surveys a week, sent and recorded without manual work.

A survey starts when a claim is processed or denied. Customer data moves between four systems on its own, and the result is written back to the claim record.

Kustomer Process Automation Skill

About 6 hours a week saved for several teams.

This Claude skill automates manual Kustomer processes that span multiple systems. I ran a lunch-and-learn for 70 people to drive adoption.

Side projects

Small Business Marketing Automation

Automated social media marketing and customer-specific discount codes for my father's dry cleaning business.

I built automated Facebook and Instagram posts using Canva and Claude. I also built personalized discount codes by customer segment. Repeat customers earn loyalty rewards. One-time customers get a come-back offer. Other offers match the garments each customer usually brings in.

ESP32 PC Hardware Monitor

A small touch display that shows live stats from my PC.

I built this on a 2.8 inch ESP32 "Cheap Yellow Display." RAM and VRAM readings work today. A home screen with CPU and GPU temperatures is in progress.

Kitchen Chore Tracker Panel

A wall-mounted chore reminder and tracker.

It runs on a 7 inch Elecrow CrowPanel touch display. I built it as a standalone device first, with a web page for configuration. I plan to connect it to Home Assistant.

Custom Macro Keyboard

A 9-key macro pad with a volume knob.

The current build uses a Pro Micro board. An ESP32 version is also in progress.

Home Assistant Server

Currently building

I am turning a dedicated PC into a Home Assistant server for whole-house automation.
